I started writing a rationale for this artwork but it sounded like bullshit. I like it less abstract because it's more direct. And I like it less explained because it makes more sense...

just a thought for the text - would it work to overlay the text with a screen print, so that it visually works as a different layer? that might free it from having to sit specifically on the same plane as the image. a single screenprint layer without any trace of white would be transparent, even in process cyan or magenta.
