would we be interested in heading up to newcastle on friday, november 6 for a gig at the croatian in newcastle? it's being organised by chris from alps (he's also playing at it) and he's asked if we'd be interested. it would involve about an hour and a half drive each way - so we may need to take work considerations into account (ellie). i'm personally starting to get itchy feet and want to play in other places, so i'm enthusiastic, but know that there's other issues which may mean we can't, though.

sounds like fun
is the croatian a significant venue, adrian?
i doubt it. but knowing chris, it will be the type of place where underground types hang out - hopefully the types that may want to see us. maybe even more underground than that.
I won't be able to make it - really sorry! It's too close to my exams, combined with how grumpy I'd be at work the next day.
no problem - i've just e-mailed chris to let him know we can't do it. there will be other opportunities later.
i've sent a message to chris to say we can't do it as there's only 2 of us available, but i've been thinking today, blake, that it might actually be nice to do it with the two of us - try something a bit more experimental, still based on our stuff but maybe stretched out and glitched up/improvised a bit more. what do you think? i'd probably need to tell chris pretty soon, though, so let me know.
i am interested
when do we need to say yes or no by?
let's talk about what we could do
probably in the next day. i'm thinking of things along the lines of time and distance (the one on new weird australia), the manifesto dub, things like that.
yeh, sounds like a yes from me
ok, so i heard from chris this morning and the gig is on. he'll send a flyer and playing details in the next few days, but friday, november 6 it is.
great! so are we wanting to do some rehearsal type activities later on this week? or will i just record?
i still don't know what day
