mars hill café

matt wakeling is playing a show at mars hill cafe on wednesday, august 11 as st jambience - his improvised soundscape music. he's asked us if we'd like to play. would we? other options might be for lessons in time to play a set as blake is keen to get that happening (but it might be too close, not sure - blake?). i've also been discussing an improvised ambient/noise thing with julian rojas which we could maybe do. my guess is it would be a bit more low-key on a wednesday than it would on a saturday. anyway, i'm keen to do something in whatever setup. what does everyone else think?

I'm a keen bean! Seven Hills is my country, Mars Hill is my home town.

i think that doing a full lessons in time set could be hard, the gig being so soon. but i would be very happy to even try a few songs. we could do half lessons in time and half noise... you like this idea, adrian?

i don't mind as i'm involved in all of the options, but if everyone telafonica is keen to play, i'd prefer a lessons in time/telafonica split than the noise option.

i also have visions of sitting on the carpet performing, like we saw at bohemian grove on sunday night.

yeh, let's sit on the carpet.

what's the latest on your vocal/sax cords (as opposed to chords, which you can't actually do with either a voice or a saxophone), cherry?

my cords are officially now up to facing the rigors of telafrolicking.
