blogs and rehearsals

a little bit of loving over at this rather great blog (who also bother to make their own, nicely enigmatic images for each of their posts) called east to west. check it out here.

on a different note - the karoshi launch gig is in 4 weeks and we're playing a 40/45 minute set. all 5 of us haven't been in the same room to make music since november, so it might be a good idea to get a couple of practices in. are we going to do anything new - there's something about your face? when is it good for everyone to practise? what nights of the week?

i prefer to practice when i am not working the next day because then i don't need to do extra stuff to get ready. for me - monday, wednesday (after ballet), friday or some time on weekends.

how'd that new distortedbass recording go for there's something about your face, adrian?

Monday's the only night I can do out of those - sorry. Friday I have youth, Wednesday I lead Bible study every fortnight, so I can't do next Wed but I can do the one after.

@blake - it's done, but i'm not convinced by it yet.

could we aim for monday week to rehearse?

that monday works.

yep, that works for me and for the record I don't have any regular weekly commitments on weeknights anyway so I can practice anytime it suits you all best:)

So, what time's rehearsal tonight, Telafornicans?

is that how you channeled those howling sounds recording tail end of winter last thursday, ellie? by staring at the telafornica sign? :)

imojjen finishes her clarinet lesson at 7 so probably about 7:30 would be good.

I channelled the howling by imagining the strain my poor wee vocal chords were suffering for the sake of your idea of art, Adrian.

7:30 it is.
